Terri Ray. Experience To Prepare Us to Weather Any Storm

Terri has a long and rich history of developing the Rich Disaster Plans for operations larger and more complex that our city. She has readied facilities for hurricanes, earthquakes, safety incidents, environmental violations, potable water intrusions, etc. As an island city, adjacent to a notable military target and in a tornado & hurricane prone state, our Disaster Readiness Plans should be second to none. Experienced in guiding companies through a previous Pandemic, we can work together to make sure Lessons Learned are included in any existing/new Readiness Plans. Terri will work with the other Commissioners and City Staff to develop & review the city plans so our residents and business can sleep well at night knowing their city is Prepared to Weather Any Storm.

Pet Recall 2007.jpg

"In 1999 when our paper mill facility in Riegelwood, NC had been recently purchased, it was one of their higher cost and struggling production facilities for possible shut down or sale.  Terri Ray was brought in to evaluate if our costs and performance could be improved.

Upon her arrival, she built management and high performance work teams within a collaborative environment that fast-tracked our turnaround to one of the lowest cost and highest efficient producers in the organization, all within one year!

Her ability to manage all of the people, projects, processes, and priorities successfully was exceptional.  Terri would be a true asset in any leadership role and comes with my heartfelt recommendation."

Leaders help themselves and others to do the right things. They set direction, build an inspiring vision, and create something new. Leadership is about mapping out where you need to go to "win" as a team; and it is dynamic, exciting, and inspiring.

Terri Will Be That Leader For Atlantic Beach

Great leaders find the balance between business foresight, performance, and character. They have vision, courage, integrity, humility and focus along with the ability to plan strategically and catalyze cooperation amongst their team.

"Leadership is the art of motivating a group of people to act toward achieving a common goal".

A leader doesn't wait for a title to demonstrate Leadership. They have the skills to find opportunities around them, like early advisories on pandemic preparation for your home and workplace, coordinate/shop to lead efforts to assist the vulnerable in our community during a Pandemic. A Leader attends the towing of a beached boat when no elected leaders are there to ensure it is done safely for our ocean yet has to alert city leaders when hundreds of feet of  rope are left in the ocean to harm marinelife. A leader shines the spotlight on those who donate to a charity, not on themselves who coordinated. A Leader rallies a large group of volunteers and donors to provide meals for Gabriel House when learning they are in need. A Leader alerts the city that during a Hurricane Warning they forgot to remove thousands of feet of rope/pvc pipe along our beaches that would become ocean trash. A Leader writes children’s books about Kindness and Ocean Trash to teach the youngest in our city lessons on the subject. A Leader vigorously writes city leaders & attends meetings over a period of three years over personal accounts of imminent danger and traffic volume problems and rallies many others to do the same.  A leader personally and uses her voice to encourage many to donate to our beloved first responders, like Fire Department and Police Department. A leader coordinates and performs the logistics for large donation drives for other country, regional or state disasters.  "I am proud of my contributions to our city to do things that bring positive change and hope to our neighbors and friends".
